Nací en Montevideo, Uruguay, en 1980, y desde muy temprano me fascinó el poder de las imágenes para revelar verdades ocultas detrás de las apariencias. Si bien mi camino profesional me llevó a convertirme en abogado y profesor de derecho comercial, política de empresa y gobierno corporativo, la pintura siempre ha sido mi vocación más profunda.
Mi recorrido artístico comenzó de forma autodidacta, guiado por la curiosidad y el deseo de capturar la esencia de la vida a través del color, el gesto y la emoción. En 2019 emprendí una residencia de dos años en Barcelona, donde me sumergí en talleres que me permitieron refinar mi estilo impresionista figurativo y expandir mis horizontes artísticos. Desde 2021 he venido desarrollando mi práctica bajo la mentoría de artistas como Philip Davies, Gerardo Acuña y Hugo Rossi.
El arte, para mí, es a la vez personal y universal. En 2023, al emerger del estado más oscuro de una depresión clínica, nació el proyecto Máscaras de la Existencia. Transformó la lucha en creación, convirtiendo al arlequín en un compañero de resiliencia y en espejo de la condición humana.
Ya sea en ferias internacionales, galerías o espacios íntimos, mi esperanza es que mi obra invite al espectador a mirar más allá de la máscara y a encontrarse, quizás, con algo de sí mismo.

I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1980, and from an early age I was fascinated by the power of images to reveal truths hidden behind appearances. While my professional path led me to become a lawyer and professor of commercial law, business policy, and corporate governance, painting has always been my deepest calling.
My artistic journey began as a self-taught endeavor, guided by curiosity and the desire to capture the essence of life through color, gesture, and emotion. In 2019, I embarked on a two-year residency in Barcelona, where I immersed myself in workshops that allowed me to refine my figurative impressionist style and expand my artistic horizons. Since 2021, I have been developing my practice under the mentorship of artists such as Philip Davies, Gerardo Acuña, and Hugo Rossi.
Art, for me, is both personal and universal. In 2023, as I emerged from the darkest state of clinical depression, the project Masks of Existence was born. It transformed struggle into creation, turning the harlequin into a companion in resilience and a mirror for the human condition.
Whether exhibited in international fairs, galleries, or intimate spaces, my hope is that my work invites viewers to look beyond the mask and encounter something of themselves.
